From industry giants to fast-growing disruptors, brands are doubling down on OOH to boost visibility, drive performance, and tap into cultural relevance.
The top five OOH advertisers in 2024 are:
- Apple – $68.3M
- McDonald’s – $61.0M
- Amazon – $55.1M
- Coca-Cola – $46.8M
- Verizon – $44.2M
Apple takes the #1 spot for the third year in a row. They’re joined by other heavy hitters like Netflix, Disney, Meta, and Google — proof that the biggest names see OOH as a must-have in their media mix.
Fastest-Growing Categories:
According to the Facts & Figures report, here’s where the action is:
- Legal Services – up 16%
- Chain Food Stores – up 15%
- Hospitals & Clinics and Hotels & Resorts also saw double-digit growth
- Quick-Service Restaurants, Consumer Banking, and Colleges & Universities remain top spenders
- Digital OOH (DOOH) now makes up 34% of total spend, showing big momentum in programmatic and digital formats
Even Religious and Humanitarian Organizations made the Top 25 categories, highlighting how far-reaching OOH has become.
